What are class sizes like?

Class sizes in General Physics PH111 and 112 are typically about 150, while in PH113 it is around 30. In the higher-level courses, there are usually about 10-20 students per class.

What makes your BS program unique?

A very flexible curriculum. We have only a few required courses in the Physics major: the General Physics sequence (PH111, 112, and 113) and the corresponding labs, Special Relativity (PH251, one credit), Mathematical Methods (PH305), Classical Mechanics (PH301), Modern Physics (PH351), and the capstone research course PH499. There are many other courses available as well. Depending on your post-college plans (graduate school, employment, etc.), you and your advisor will develop a customized and personal Program of Study (PoS) for your undergraduate education.
